App Review: Travel Organizer

Summer is a big time for vacations. Make getting ready for your weekend on the beach or week away with Travel Organizer. This free app helps you make lists of what to do and what to pack to make prepping for a trip easy!

The app is very straight forward – choose from “To do” or “To pack” and “Summer” or “Winter” and let the list be pre-populated; you can delete items from the list by long pressing on it and choosing delete, but you can also rename, make notes or decide if you really need this item or not. Simple.

Pressing Menu will allow you to reset your lists, add new items, and hide/show uneeded or ready items. The help button is very detailed and gives a little background information on the app. I found it very useful for learning how the app works.

At the bottom of the list screen, you can see how close you are to being done packing and prepping for your trip! Meet percentage goals every day – make preparing for a vacation a fun game, instead of a dreaded chore!

Overall, if you need an app that makes it a little easier to prepare for the vacation of your dreams and helps you remember frequently forgotten items like toothbrushes, then download Travel Organizer from the Market.

Would it be possible to include a link useable when viewing these posts on ones Droid?

Hi ~ I’ve been trying to get a video I took on my Droid to upload dirctly to Facebook & can’t figure out a way. I tried Qik which is good in it’s own way but aside from what it says, it won’t upload already made vids to FB, only ones created in their app. Flip isn’t working either. You know the secret??

    Thx!

Have you tried Bloo? It might give you this capability. Facebook for Android does not unless you record it in the app.

Another similar application to look at is “Packing List”. The user interface is not as nice, and it can be a little confusing, but the advantage is that you can have a master list with numerous categories that you then combine into a trip list. For instance, I have separate lists for business trip, vacation, beach, hiking, biking, camping, family visit (need to remember the photo albums…), etc.

I do like how Travel Organizer separates the To Do from the To Pack. I usually use a totally different list app for my to do list, but having them combined is a nice idea.
