About

WomenWithDroids.com is not a blog about women in love with robots (though I’m sure you can find one of those if you keep searching), but about women who love their Motorola DROID smartphones (and other Android devices)!

Unlike this DROID commercial would suggest, there are a lot of women who have and love the DROID, despite its “masculine”  form-factor (though admittedly most of us aren’t the “clueless princess” type).

When you see what Android devices are capable of, you will love them, too!

So welcome to the “Women With Droids” blog! We hope you enjoy our casual blog posts about what we love or find interesting about our DROIDs. Please join in the discussion and let us know what you want to know! Join us on Twitter, too!

Renee - Renée lives in Virginia and has been using her Motorola DROID with Verizon since November 2009. She is always at her computer (for both work and relaxation), and loves Google and Twitter. She was constantly telling people about the DROID and found several other women that were, too, so she started this blog to make it "official" that women love DROIDs!

craftlass - CraftLass is a tech junkie that got her first gaming console by the age of four and computer at age 6. She loves to blend the arts and sciences, and is currently developing a new company focusing on technology education. On the side, she is a songwriter, musician, and avid gamer. She chose a DROID (the day it was released) partly due to being a longtime and happy Verizon customer but mostly due to it being the first phone with all the capabilities she was looking for. It didn’t hurt that her whole online life was pretty much on Google already, either! Read CraftLass' full bio and see her DROID's home screens!

ellie - In love with technology since she got her first computer at age 12, Ellie is no stranger to open source software and experimenting with new technology. She owned her own web design firm from 1998-2008 and now does technology and marketing consulting for small businesses and nonprofits. When she is not downloading and trying new apps for her Samsung Moment, Ellie enjoys reading, exploring New York City and writing about living car free. You can almost always find her at a neighborhood coffee shop consuming large amounts of coffee and pontificating about the advantages of Android versus other phone platforms! You can follow Ellie on Twitter at @thepinkc or visit her tech blog at http://www.thepinkc.net.
