Hi, Carrie! Don’t feel bad. I think one thing I left out that may be confusing is that I meant GMail settings on your desktop browser, not the mobile settings.

Here is an intro to Google Labs that has a screenshot of where to find the Labs tab. Hope it helps!

I’ve been struggling with this as I have a few friends that will keep their Gmail open on their pcs, but will be active on their phones too. I never knew if I was messaging them on a workstation (where they are likely to respond faster) or to their phone (where they could be sleeping but their phone decided to make them look active.)
