Recently we moved to Hawaii and in an effort to trim expenses I gave up sat. TV & Tivo. Being a Tivo snob I can't even stand to watch shows on TV without being able to fast forward thru the commercials so I found my bDroid a GREAT alternative. I also use you tube to search for shows and can find full episodes of most of my favorites chopped into 5 parts....but NO commercials!
